VA and NC Trip

Justin and I returned from our trip yesterday and had such a wonderful time! It was so nice to spend that time together.

We had so much fun with Justin's Dad, Step-mom, and siblings in VA. They threw us an amazing shower in which we were able to visit with lots of friends and family we haven't seen in about a year and a half. Everyone was so generous and we received many baby items that we needed. I'll try and post some pictures later (we have to gather them from others as we do not have a
working camera).

Later we traveled to Asheville, NC for my Dad and Crystal's wedding. Asheville is a great town, and we really enjoyed our time there. Justin and I were lucky enough to spend some time with family friends Ken and Denise, and Ian and Meg. We had sooo much fun with them. Sunday was the wedding and it was absolutely beautiful! I am so happy for my Dad and blessed that Crystal has joined our family.
I do think I may have overdone it a bit while we were gone. By the end of the trip my feet were swollen to the size of footballs (no joke, they were huge!). Now that we are back home, they have already started to go down, thankfully! I start my weekly doctor appointments tomorrow. My grandmother is also on her way to come help me prepare for the baby. We still have a lot to do before little mcnugget's arrival, but we couldn't be more excited. Today I am 35 weeks pregnant and have 35 days until the due date, crazy!

P.S. While we were gone two of our friends gave birth. Congratulations to Sarah and Brian Osborn, whom welcomed their twins Natalie and Evan last Monday! Congratulations as well to Kim and Dutch Schultz, whom were surprised by their little girl Allison Leslie who was born three weeks early. Everyone is doing well, and Justin and I cannot wait to meet the new editions.

  1. Thanks Becca. We are enjoying the twins a lot and trying to find some hours to sleep as well. Looking forward to seeing / meeting your new baby girl.
