Photo A Day - April
So a few posts ago, I mentioned http://www.fatmumslim.com.au/'s Photo A Day Challege. I did it last month for the first time, and it was a lot of fun. I wasn't able to keep up every day, but I came close. We'll see if I'm able to do better this month :) Here are the pics with the prompts for each day below:
Click of the calendar to view it larger.
2. Color (pinterest project), 3. Mail (the "sunshine in a box" care package we sent to my cousin in Afganistan), 4. Someone who makes you happy (love this picture of Finn with his great-grandfather!), 5. Tiny (my weight loss goal visual, to help me get tiny ;), 6. Lunch (kale chips - my new healthy addiction), 7. Shadow (Raven & I at the bluebonnets), 8. Inside your wallet (A play on Capital One's catchphrase "whats in your wallet?" Justin's idea :), 9. Younger You (Younger Ewe - Pun Fun :), 10. Cold (a yummy cold beer after a long day), 11. Where you ate breakfast (Is that sad?), 12. Stairs (Stairway to my angels' rooms), 13. Something you found (clean laundry courtesy of my oh-so-awesome husband!), 14. How you feel today (happy, at the big TX beerfest), 16. Flower, 18. Hair (Finn's balding pattern), 19. Orange (the stickers on Raven's potty training chart), 24. Something you're grateful for (my beautiful children!), 25. Looking down (at Finn in the Moby wrap), 26. Black and White (windchime in our backyard), 27. Somewhere you went (the dance studio), 29. Circle (experimenting with vegan cooking and food photography. This was mac & yeast, at attempt at a vegan substitute for Raven's mac & cheese addiction. Btw, she loved it!), 30. Something that makes you sad (saying goodbye to Daddy as he leaves for work).

Going Bald
In love with this pic of little man that I took for the "hair" day of Fatmumslim.com.au's photo a day challenge. (will post all of my pics from the challenge at the end of the month).

Gregarious Griffin
Finn has been so "talkative" lately and it is so cute! I had to capture it so that I'll always have it to look back at. Here is a little clip, with some bonus cuteness in the background, supplied by his big sister.

Oh so blue!
Well we made it through the tornadoes. It was terrifying. I've been in tornadoes before, but it is 10x scarier when you have two kiddos to love & protect. Anyway, we are safe and had hardly any damage. Insurance agent coming to take a look at the roof some time next week.
Moving on. I have a tiny dilemma. I posted the pic of Raven covered in blue marker yesterday. This is how I discovered her after I had fed the baby a few days ago. It was washable marker, so no harm done. In fact, I told Justin "I'm going to allow the blueness". Meaning, I didn't plan to throw her in the bath right away. That is until I noticed tiny blue handprints everywhere. Ok so this is where the dilemma comes in, I can't bring myself to clean up this handprint (pictured below). It is just too cute. Alas, we don't plan to stay in the house much longer than a year from now & I'm sure any future residents won't find it as cute as I do. I guess I'll leave it for as long as I can & revel in the cuteness until then.
Now off to make kale chips, my new substitute for potato chips (15 lbs down, 36 to go).
