...you know we love us some St. Patrick's Day! And this year's was a great one. Over the weekend, my awesome aunt Kim took some beautiful pictures of Raven in her St. Patty's outfit (that her Nanny, Justin's Mom, sent her). Here are a few in a digital scrapbook I put together:

Didn't they turn out awesome? Thanks Kim!
When Justin got home from work, I surprised him with my attempt at a St. Patty's Day meal: green pepper shamrocks, vegetarian shepard's pie, and of course some green beer:
We used Gimme Lean fake ground beef as the ground beef substitute and were surprised how yummy it turned out. I used the rest of it to make a veggie burger for Jus tonight, and it too was delish...I will definitely be buying some more of that stuff.
Afterward Raven got a treat too, she had vegetables for this first time: carrots! She seemed to like them too, well as soon as she got used to the whole spoon situation that is (video to come soon). However, when we tried them again today she was not-so-much a fan. Hopefully today was just a fussy day and she will be back into trying veggies again tomorrow.
Well there is one more thing that happened yesterday, which is probably the most exciting news. We agreed on a contract for a house! I'm phrasing that very carefully because I know nothing is for sure until we close. But for now, it looks like we may be living in this beautiful home by the end of April. Yay!

I'll let you know when you can start making plans to come stay in our new guest room ;) I hope you all had an equally fantastic St. Patrick's Day! Slainte!

Good luck with the house!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures and "granny Kat" was asked several times on Tuesday the 16th how old her grand daughter was and I realized and responded, "5 months today"! She is so beautiful, the St. Patty day pics are wonderful. The house looks fantastic - you two have been working so hard to pull everything together, I just know it will all work out. I love you, Mom
ReplyDeletePS - Your meal looks amazing, you are so creative. How nice for Justin to come home to that after a hard day at work?!
