Well, it has been 2 weeks now and although Justin and I are very tired, we are definitely getting used to our new life with Raven. In fact Justin has even been able to start playing video games again. Its going to take me a few more days until I'm productive as I'd like to be, but I'm definitely getting a lot closer. When I get up with Raven at 3, 4, & 5 in the morning, I've noticed I'm a lot less frustrated. Now, it is just part of the way things are now. Plus, I revel in getting to cuddle with her, even if I would prefer she was sleeping in her bassinet, so I could be sleeping as well.
Raven and I both had Doctor appointments on Friday and both went really well. I have lost 30 lbs already, which makes me very happy! That is almost all my pregnancy weight already, however I have quite a bit more I'd like to lose (as I had gained quite a bit before I got pregnant). On the other hand, Raven has gained weight. She is up to 7 lb, 4 oz, which also makes me very happy! Her pediatrician is great. He answered all our questions and assured us that she is one healthy baby.
We spent Halloween with Justin's sister Taryn, which was so much fun. I'm super glad she was able to make it out to meet Raven, even if it was just for one day. It was also Raven's first outing, other than going to the Dr. Here are a few more recent pics.
P.S. I apologize if you have sent a gift but have yet to receive a thank you note. Please know they are very much appreciated and we will be sending out thank you notes as soon as we get our acts together.
P.P.S. To all my friends that have called, e-mailed, fb messaged me etc, I'm so sorry I have not gotten back to you. I promise to try to be in touch real soon.

Hi Becca,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great update. I am so proud of all 3 of you and how you are adjusting to your new family life. I just know you are the most amazing "mommy" already and Raven is one lucky girl for having the parents that she has in you and Justin.
I love you all and miss you, Granny Kat
Love the update... did you ever imagine how much love you could have for that sweet baby??? It's nothing you can describe until you experience it... You're doing great Becca! Such a sweet family... ~ kim
